Sensory-Friendly and Relaxed Family Concerts

The Minnesota Orchestra is committed to increasing access to the symphonic art form by providing concert experiences in an inclusive environment. We offer Sensory-Friendly and Relaxed Family Concerts for audiences of all ages and abilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities. Each concert takes place in a relaxed environment where audience members are welcome to be who they are and enjoy music together with family and friends.

Our Sensory-Friendly Concerts feature individual musicians or small ensembles in the Target Atrium at Orchestra Hall. Relaxed Family Concerts feature the full orchestra in the main auditorium.

Learn about Czech composer Antonín Dvořák through the eyes of a young boy who discovers the magic behind his music with the help of one of Dvořák’s most famous students, Harry Burleigh, in this Relaxed Family Concert for audiences of all ages and abilities, including individuals with autism or sensory sensitivities.

  • Our Relaxed Family Concerts take place in an inclusive environment where all audience members are welcome to be who they are.
